An account credit or scholarship is given by an organization and reduces your total owed. If you have a scholarship or an account credit, you may not have to pay the full amount owed when you go through the checkout process.

How to check out using an account credit

When you have an account credit with a specific organization, you can see the account credit in the Home section of your personal account:

You can see any available account credit in Step 3 of checkout (Payment). You can always choose whether to use the available account credit.

In this example, with a $(114.98) account credit, if you pay in full, you will see either the full amount owing ($500) or the total minus the applied credit ($385.02):

What if I have an account credit and want to pay in installments?

If you choose to pay in installments and the initial amount due is less than the account credit, the credit will only cover what needs to be paid now. Credit card information will still be required for all upcoming installments.

If you choose to pay in installments and the initial amount due is more than the account credit, the difference must be paid.

Why can’t I see my account credit in the checkout process?

An account credit is added by the organization, either manually or with a cancellation. If you do not see any credit balance available in the Home tab or during checkout, contact the organization directly before completing any purchase.

How to check out using a scholarship

A scholarship is financial support provided by an organization towards the purchase of activities. If an eligible item is purchased, the scholarship application is visible in Step 3 of checkout, or Payment. A scholarship can be awarded by person (only that member can use the scholarship) or by account (every account member can use the scholarship).

A drop-down menu confirms the amount each account member in a family is eligible to receive, and you can choose to use the scholarship or not:

If the scholarship is applied per person, you will see only the eligible members in the list:

Why can't I see my scholarship in the checkout process?

The two main reasons why you would not see the scholarship applied in Step 3 of checkout is either because an activity is not eligible, or the scholarship has not been assigned to the correct account member. Contact the organization for more information before completing the purchase.

My scholarship is the wrong amount, how can I fix it?

The organization decides the amount of the scholarship given. If the amount you see in Step 3 of checkout is incorrect, contact the organization directly for more information.
