How do I cancel my registration?

If allowed, you may cancel a registration on your own from your personal account and in some cases, get an automatic refund.

If an organization allows it, you may cancel a session or a drop-in class by yourself, instead of having them cancel it for you. The conditions for cancelling sessions are different for cancelling drop-in activities. In this article you'll learn how to cancel a class using the desktop app, or the Amilia app for mobile devices.

How are sessions different from drop-ins?

A session consists of multiple activity occurrences over a set period of time. For example, you may register for a session that occurs every Monday and Wednesday, from June until September. You can only cancel a session registration by yourself from the Amilia app for mobile devices.

A drop-in is offered on a per-class basis and consists of picking single occurrences from a calendar. For example, a session may offer drop-in spots that allow you to pick which day(s) you want to register for, rather than committing to every class in the session. Drop-in registrations can be cancelled from the desktop app and the Amilia app for mobile devices.

How do I cancel a session registration?

If it's allowed, you may cancel a session from the Amilia mobile app (only) if:

  • The first activity in the session hasn't started. ​

  • The activity was paid in full by credit card in a single transaction. No planned payments allowed (installments).​

  • ​If you don't receive an automatic refund, please contact the organization.

Here are the steps to cancel a session registration:

  1. Open the Amilia app on your mobile device.

  2. In the Schedule, find and tap the activity to cancel.

  3. Next, tap 'Cancel this event'.​

4. If there's a cancellation policy, tap 'Terminate enrollment'.

5. If you paid by credit card in a single transaction, a refund is initiated.

6. If there isn't a cancellation policy, you must contact the organization directly.

How do I cancel a drop-in registration?

If it's allowed, you may cancel a drop-in from your personal account, using the desktop app or from the Amilia mobile app.

  • You may only cancel up until the cancellation deadline.

  • When you cancel a drop-in, you are only credited. You must contact the organization if you need them to issue you a refund.

  • If you paid for your class with a multipass, the pass is returned to you.

  • If a drop-in is ineligible for cancellation, the 'Unregister' button won't show.

Here are the steps to cancel a drop-in using the desktop app:

  1. Log into your personal account at www.amilia.com.

  2. There are two ways you can access the drop-in -

    1. In the Home tab, check out the Calendar and click the drop-in occurrence; or

    2. Click the Purchases tab, select the organization and scroll to the participant's Drop-ins section.

  3. After you click on the drop-in, you'll be redirected to the organization's store.

  4. Just like when you registered, click on the drop-in in the store's calendar.

  5. In the window, click 'Unregister' next to the registered participant's name. If the drop-in was paid with a multipass, the pass is returned.

  6. After the participant is 'Successfully unregistered', you may register someone else, continue shopping, or close the session.

Here are the steps to cancel a drop-in using the mobile app:

  1. Click on the drop-in you would like to cancel in your Schedule.

  2. Click on Cancel this event.

  3. You will see a message that explains whether you will be credited for the cost of the drop-in according to the organization's Cancellation Policy. Click Terminate enrollment to confirm the cancellation. You'll see a Success message which confirms the drop-in is cancelled.

Are notifications sent to the organization if I cancel an activity?

When you cancel a registration for yourself or an account member, a cancellation confirmation record is stored in the Communication tab in your personal account.

However, administrators aren't sent a notification of the cancellation. Don't worry, they have other tools that show them who is actively registered or not.
