Over the coming months, we'll begin rolling out one of our most significant improvements to date: a complete revamp of Amilia SmartRec’s Membership feature.

Why are we making this change?

Amilia SmartRec was initially designed with a focus on selling activities. While this remains our bread and butter, we also recognize the increasing prevalence of member-based organizations. Memberships offer numerous advantages, such as a consistent revenue stream, a way to foster loyalty through exclusive benefits and pricing, and the opportunity to cultivate a sense of community among members. In response to this trend, we have revamped our membership capabilities to ensure that we can deliver flexible and user-friendly tools for managing memberships to you and your clients.

How will this affect you and your clients?

Good news: the transition will be seamless for most customers! We have taken care of all necessary steps to migrate your old memberships to the new format without impacting your clients. No need to recreate your old memberships using the new form - we have you covered every step of the way!

What's changing?

The new Memberships features an improved configuration form designed to make the setup process a breeze as well as enhanced reporting. Here's a summary of the key improvements we’ve made so far. We’ll update this table as we release more improvements in the coming months.

😍 New

Subscriptions were considered a type of membership.

We renamed Subscriptions to recurring billing and they now function as a billing option for all membership types. We also added the ability to set the billing day to any day of the month, to cover for a period of one month, or to cover in advance the following month in full!

Separate config forms were used to create Family Memberships, Memberships, and Subscriptions.

You can create all membership types from a single form and decide whether they're eligible for a recurring billing plan.

Family Memberships applied to all members on an account.

We've renamed Family Memberships to Multi-person Memberships to be more inclusive and offer you greater flexibility. You can now specify how many people in different age groups can be part of a multi-person membership. For example, 2 children and 2 adults only rather than everyone on an account.

Export the Membership sales and cancellations by date report for an overview of your memberships.

Use the new Members list report for a clear idea of who your members are! Use the filters to get information about a specific membership or client. You can also customize the columns included in the report and export it to Excel. Don’t worry, you’ll still have access to the Membership sales and cancellations by date report too 😉!
