Activate the Bounded Segments feature in the Apps tab!

A bounded segment is a type of community segment where you define boundaries on a virtual map. Segments are composed of addresses found within the boundaries.

How it Works

1. Add a Bounded Segment

In the Community Segments>Residents subtab:

  • Click + Add a bounded segment

  • Type in the name of the city or area of interest and click Search

  • A list of potential areas appears. Add a check mark next to the desired locations.

  • You can add multiple boundaries within a segment by using the Search bar.

  • Boundaries that are included in the segment are displayed to the right of the map.

  • Click the X icon to remove a selected boundary from the segment.

  • Name your segment appropriately if necessary.

  • Create your bounded segment when finished. Create as many as needed.

2. Manage your Bounded Segment(s)

When viewing a bounded segment, a map illustrates the segment's boundaries.

Current Residents are people in the Clients tab that reside at an address in your segment. A client becomes a resident once their address is validated with Google’s API and it matches with an address within the applicable segment.

🔴 Archive or Delete a Bounded Segment

A bounded segment cannot be edited. Click on the ... icon for options to:

  • Archive a bounded segment if you no longer need it. It turns gray in your list of segments. Click on the grayed-out segment and then the icon to unarchive.

  • Delete a bounded segment if it's never been used.

Before you archive a bounded segment, make sure it isn't associated to active memberships, registration periods and/or discounts. If you archive a segment that is linked to a discount, the segment will no longer be attached to the discount.

🔍 Search for Participants by Segment

In the Clients>People subtab, filter for participants within a community segment if you wish to send them an email or apply a batch fee. When performing any of these tasks, repeat for each page of results.

🗺️ View the Map

The Community Segments>Maps subtab provides a high-level view of your community segments. You can display one or more segments simultaneously. This allows you to pinpoint where residents are on the map and focus on areas of interest.
