Starting this fall (2026), organizations using Amilia Payments will move from Net Payouts to Gross Payouts. Here's what's changing, why we're making this move, and what it means for you.
This change concerns organizations using Amilia Payments only. If your organization processes payments through Paysafe or CardConnect, this change does not affect you and there's nothing you need to do.
What's changing?
👋 Old | 😍 New |
Payment processing fees are deducted directly from each daily payout, before the money reaches your bank account. | The full amount of each day's transactions is deposited to your bank account. Processing fees are billed once a month on your Amilia invoice. |
To review your payment processing fees, you sift through up to 30 individual daily payout reports a month. | You'll get one easier monthly report, with a detailed Excel breakdown itemizing every fee for the entire month, no more digging through daily files. |
When: This fall 2026. The exact date hasn't been confirmed yet; we'll follow up with a firm date as soon as it's locked in.
Why are we making this change?
When we introduced Amilia Payments, it launched with Net Payouts by default. Since then, we've heard directly from you about challenges with bank reconciliation, cash flow management, and making sense of monthly payment processing fees.
We listened to your feedback and an overwhelming number of you asked to move to Gross Payouts. So that’s exactly what we’re doing!
How will you benefit?
Better cash flow. Your full payment revenue is paid out over the course of the month, and you only pay processing fees at the end of the month, keeping more of your hard-earned cash in your account, longer. It's the same total cost, just better timing. You keep access to that cash until the invoice is due, instead of losing a slice of it with every payout.
Simpler bank reconciliation. The amount deposited to your bank matches your daily payment activity, with no fees to net out.
Easier fee reporting. One monthly report with a detailed, itemized Excel breakdown, instead of piecing together daily reports.
FAQ
1. What exactly is changing with my payouts?
Today, processing fees are deducted from each daily payout before the money reaches your bank account (Net Payouts). Starting this fall, the full amount of each day's transactions will be deposited to your bank account, and processing fees will be billed once a month on your Amilia invoice (Gross Payouts).
For example, if you process a $100 Visa payment on a given day, with rates of 2.9% + $0.30, you currently receive a payout of $96.80 to your bank account, net of processing fees. With Gross Payouts, you'll receive the full $100, and the processing fee will be invoiced at the end of the month.
2.When will this take effect?
This fall 2026. The exact date hasn't been confirmed yet. We'll notify you again once it's locked in, with enough advance notice to prepare.
3.Does this affect my organization?
This only affects organizations using Amilia Payments. If your organization processes payments through Paysafe or CardConnect, nothing changes for you.
4. How can I tell which payment processor my organization uses?
Under Account > Billing, your payment processor is listed at the bottom left under the Merchant Account card. This will indicate whether you are using Paysafe, CardConnect, or Adyen (the back-end processor supporting our new Amilia Payments solution).
5.What will change on my monthly Amilia invoice?
Your monthly Amilia invoice will include your payment processing fees, itemized by payment network, alongside your existing software and service fees. You'll also be able to download a detailed Excel report for a full breakdown.
6.How will this affect my bank reconciliation?
Because the full transaction amount is deposited daily, the amount in your bank account will match your daily payment activity, with processing fees appearing separately on your monthly invoice instead of being netted out of each deposit. This will remove complexity from your bank reconciliation process.
7.Will my processing rates change?
No. Your contracted processing rates stay exactly the same. What's changing is when and how those fees are billed, not how much you pay.
8.Can I opt out and stay on the current model?
Gross Payouts is becoming the standard for every organization on Amilia Payments, so all customers get the same simpler reconciliation, one monthly statement, and full consistency with our other payment processing partners. Running two payout models side by side long term isn't something we can support well, so we're moving everyone over together.
9.I'm currently onboarding. Will I go live on the old model or the new one?
If your go-live date falls before the cutover, you'll start on the current model and be switched over with everyone else. If it falls after, you'll go live directly on Gross Payouts. Your onboarding team can confirm which applies to you.
10.Do I need to do anything to prepare?
We do recommend informing your accounting team of this change so they're aware ahead of time. We'll handle everything else for you. If anything specific is required from you, your CSM will reach out directly.
11.Where can I see my fees once this takes effect?
On your monthly Amilia invoice, plus a detailed Excel report you can download under Account > Billing.
12.What if I'm currently using Paysafe or CardConnect and I'm interested in moving to Amilia Payments? What does this change mean for me?
It means that once Gross Payouts are released, you'll be able to migrate over to Amilia Payments and see no change in how your payment processing fees are handled. Gross Payouts mirrors exactly how funds already pay out on Paysafe and CardConnect, so you'll gain Amilia Payments' new features, like the real-time Card Updater, integrated dispute management, new mobile terminal options, simplified PCI DSS compliance, and midnight local-time batch closing, to name a few, without any change to your payout experience.
