1. What does the Cyberimpact integration provide?

Cyberimpact supports an unlimited number of users and mailings, helping you segment your contacts to send better targeted emails, and allowing you to track actions based on user behavior (click, open, did not open, etc.) You can also:

Email templates

Easily create mailings to your SmartRec contacts with customizable templates.

  • Use pre-drawn templates, smart templates (with your branding!) or an HTML template - in English or French.


  • Drag and drop, customize, and input your personalized data to make the template reflect your organization.

Schedule emails

Scheduling emails gives you the time to reflect on your email, and reconsider any decisions before you hit 'send'!

  • Schedule emails to send either immediately or at a set time; to one or multiple contact groups.

  • Customize the subject line and the preview text for each mailing.

  • Track open/click statistics.

Subscription forms

Cyberimpact can host your subscription forms, or you can embed them into your website as an iFrame or HTML code.

2. How does the Cyberimpact integration work?

The connection between Amilia and Cyberimpact enables initial synchronization of your contacts, activities and memberships through Amilia's API. Thanks to event alerts sent by Amilia via webhooks, your subscriber list will be automatically updated in Cyberimpact. As accounts, people, activity registrations or memberships are created or modified in Amilia, your contacts will also be added or updated in Cyberimpact.

3. How do I get started with Cyberimpact?

What you need to know beforehand:

  1. Cyberimpact plan required: To use the integration, your organization must have a Cyberimpact Plus or Pro plan.

  2. Access to the SmartRec back office: You must be an account owner within SmartRec to authorize Cyberimpact to access your SmartRec back office to obtain the API token required for synchronization. See question #3 in our FAQ for more details.

FAQs

1. Can US organizations use Cyberimpact if the data is hosted in Canada?

Hosting data in Canada while being based in the USA can be advantageous in several ways, but there are some potential challenges to consider. Below are some key points to keep in mind.

Advantages:

  • Data sovereignty: Canada has strong data protection laws, which might be beneficial if you want to ensure data privacy and security.

  • Regulatory compliance: Hosting data in Canada can help meet local data residency requirements if your business deals with Canadian customers or partners.

  • Proximity: If your clients are in Canada, hosting data there can improve access speed and performance.

  • Legal protections: Canadian privacy laws, such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), offer robust protection of personal information.

Challenges:

  • Cross-border data transfers: Transferring data between the USA and Canada can involve compliance with both countries' data privacy laws, including the U.S. Cloud Act and Canadian PIPEDA.

  • Jurisdictional issues: You may need to navigate legal complexities related to which country's laws apply to your data and how they interact.

  • Cost: Hosting data internationally can sometimes incur additional costs compared to domestic options.

  • Access Control: U.S. authorities may still request access to data hosted in Canada under certain conditions, such as via the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement).

2. How much does the integration cost?

Organizations must have a Plus or Pro plan with Cyberimpact. In addition, exact pricing depends on your contact list. Cyberimpact is about 30% cheaper than its leading competitors.

Please note that pricing is based on the total number of unique clients in your account. It's not possible to limit pricing to a segment of your contact list.

3. How do I invite Cyberimpact to access the back office?

To connect Cyberimpact to your organization's SmartRec back office, an account owner must add amilia.dev@cyberimpact.com as an administrator. Here's how:

  1. In SmartRec, go to the Account > Administrators subtab to add amilia.dev@cyberimpact.com as an admin. We recommend creating a permission group called 'Integrations' and making sure nothing is checked off in the permissions. Assign the admin this permission group.

  2. When finished, email support@cyberimpact.com with your organization's name and Cyberimpact account number to let us know. The request must be made by a Cyberimpact account administrator.

  3. The Cyberimpact team will confirm once the configuration is complete.
