1. What does the SmartText (powered by Pidj) integration provide?

You can instantly pull contacts from your SmartRec programs, activities, and memberships to send alerts, notifications, marketing messages and surveys via text message or email. Click below to learn more about each capability.

1.1 Campaigns: SMS and email messaging

Campaigns let you send targeted messages, by text and/or email, to different audiences based on their criteria. Click Add from SmartRec to access the list of registered participants in one or more programs, activities, or memberships.

Send your message immediately or schedule it for later (Timetext)
Compose a new message or load a template
Choose to send by text, email, or both.

Multi-activity selection

Use multiselect to build one recipient list that pulls contacts across several activities or programs at once, instead of sending a separate campaign for each one.

Include related contacts

Turn on Include related contacts to automatically add secondary and emergency contacts to your recipient list, in addition to the primary contact.

Membership-based group messaging

Beyond pulling contacts from programs and activities in real time, you can message everyone attached to a specific membership or memberships. This is a distinct audience type, useful for membership-wide announcements.

Multi-location compatibility

🌐 If your organization uses Multi-Location Management, you can filter recipients by location and activity, then send SMS and email across all locations from a single HQ account.

1.3 AI Assistant

Save time drafting messages with the built-in AI assistant. Within your Campaign, type a keyword or short phrase, like "pool closure," and the AI assistant generates a short message sized for either a text or an email.

1.4 Mobile Surveys

You can access Surveys on the right-side menu via your desktop or the Pidj mobile app. Keep in mind that surveys are sent in text format only (not by email).

Create rating, multiple choice, and/or freestyle questions.
Track survey responses in Pidj's Reports section.

Text or chat online with your patrons from your computer or mobile device.

Clients can respond to messages you send them, and you can reply.

2. How to set up SmartText (powered by Pidj)

Step 1 - In SmartRec, click the Apps tab and then click 'Activate'.

When you click the 'Activate' button, this notifies the Pidj team to contact you by email with steps on how to set up your Pidj account. Once you have your login credentials for Pidj, go to Step 2 to complete the integration setup with SmartRec.

Step 2 - Log in with your SmartText (Pidj) credentials

Go to https://www.gopidj.com/login (or https://smartrec.gopidj.com/login) and enter your Pidj login credentials.

Step 3 - Enable the integration in the Settings menu

In the Pidj platform, find the Settings menu in the upper right corner.

In the Settings menu, click 'Integrations'.
To enable the integration, you need your username, password and Amilia organization ID. Click Save.
To check if the integration is active, click 🔈 Textcast on the left menu. You should see a button that says 'Add from SmartRec'.
To start sending texts, click the 'Add from SmartRec' button to pull participant email addresses by program or activity.

3. FAQs

1. Which languages does SmartText (powered by Pidj) support?

Pidj offers its services in English only. However, it supports French characters, which means you can send texts or chats in French to your contacts.

A text segment is one text message under 160 characters long. If a message is longer than 160 characters, it will be sent as two or more text segments.

4. Can I pull contact lists from SmartRec in real time?

You may pull contacts in real time from programs and activities, and you can message everyone attached to a specific membership. You cannot pull contact lists from members that book facilities.
