Before you start
Do the following:
Log into the Parent organization.
Check that you have access to view and manage memberships. You need the View memberships and Manage membership configurations permissions.
Configure your recurring billing options. You need the Billing, sales and general ledger configuration to manage recurring billing options.
⚠️ The Parent decides whether child locations can create and manage their own memberships or not. This is determined by the Parent's network settings. If you have questions about these settings, speak with your Amilia representative.
1. Create network memberships at the Parent level
Go to Memberships and click New Membership.
Configure the following information. See this article for details about each field:
Name
Description
Network tags
Assign one or many tags to the network membership.
Members configuration
Term and price
Use the recurring billing options you’ve configured or create a new one, if needed.
Check off Allow child organization to edit membership price, if you would like to give the locations in your network the flexibility to set their own pricing for the network membership.
Advanced settings
Check off This membership generates a membership card visible in the client account and in the user account, if applicable.
Membership sharing
Check off Share membership with child organizations to make it available to sell from the locations in your network.
Click Save. The network membership template appears in the list of Network memberships.
2. Manage existing memberships
Go to Memberships.
Filter by status or child orgs sharing to narrow the list.
The list shows Active network memberships by default. Filter by – All – to view both Active and Archived network memberships.
Use the ellipsis (⋯) under the Actions beside each item to:
Edit → Make changes to the name, description, network tags, terms, price, membership sharing settings, and whether you allow child locations to edit the price.
❗You cannot edit a membership’s configuration or the term type (No expiration, Duration, or Dates) once it has been sold by one of your child organizations.
Duplicate → Create a copy and adjust it.
Hide from child orgs / Make visible to child orgs → Control import visibility.
Archive/Delete → Remove the network membership if it’s no longer needed. You can only delete network memberships that have never been used.
⚠️ Changes made to network memberships
at the parent level automatically update in child locations.
2.1 Duplicate memberships to save time
Click Duplicate from the Actions menu next to the template you want to copy.
A copy appears in the list of Network memberships.
Click Edit on the copy to update the name, description, and other fields.
Click Save.
2.2 Control membership visibility for child organizations
What the labels mean:
Shared with child organizations means child locations can import and sell the membership.
Not shared with child organizations means the network membership is hidden and cannot be imported.
To change visibility:
Under Actions, click to Hide from child orgs to make the template private.
Under Actions, click to Make visible to child orgs to share it again.
Save your changes!
3. Notes, limitations, and troubleshooting
The Parent organization's Network settings determine if child locations can create memberships from scratch. If you're unsure, reach out to your Amilia representative.
Edits from a child location never overwrite the parent membership—they are local to that child location.
Reports retain both the original and modified field values to preserve data integrity.
Troubleshooting
Don’t see a membership? Confirm it exists and isn’t archived. Use the filters on the Network memberships page to view Archived memberships.
Can’t import a membership at a child location? Check that the parent membership is shared.
Child location can’t edit the membership price? Verify that Allow child organization to edit membership price is checked off under the Term and price section.
